ERRORS AND COUNTERMEASURES
WITH DISPLAY UNIT
8.1

When Error Is Large or Unstable Is Output

If a display unit is attached, check
the error code and alarm display.
Connect by HART communication
and check self-diagnostics.
Is a faulty area found
with self-diagnosis?
Are the parameters
configured correctly at
operating conditions?
Does gaskets protrudes?
Is it properly grounded?

Check standards.
Read Section 6.3 "Self-Diagnostic
(Error Code List)" and check for
recovery measures.
Configure the parameters
correctly.
Ensure the straight lengths of
pipeline, read Chapter 3
"INSTALLATION".
Replace the gaskets, read
Chapter 3 "INSTALLATION".
This is due to cavitation.
Check for presence of cavitation
P = 2.7 x Δ P + 1.3 x P0 ..... (7)
P: Line pressure (kPa absolute) at
distance of 2D to 7D from
flowmeter on downstream side
ΔP: Pressure loss (kPa)
P0: Saturated steam pressure of
liquid at operating conditions
(kPa absolute)
Ground properly.
This case is due to coating of stuff
vortex shedder bar.
Check the pipinginner surfaces.
