2 INTENDED USE ELATEC TWN4 family of transponder readers and writers allows users to read and write to almost any 125 kHz and 13.56 MHz tags and/or labels – it supports all major transponders from various suppliers like ATMEL, EM, ST, NXP, TI, HID, LEGIC, etc. and ISO standards like ISO 14443A/B (T=CL), ISO 15693, ISO 18092 / ECMA-340 (NFC). -

• Short-circuit current < 8 A Once TWN4 MultiTech LEGIC is connected to the host, it detects the type of communications cable (e.g. USB or RS-232), with which it is connected to the host. In case of RS-232: Additionally, the RS-232 is sending a version string via RS-232 to the host device. -
