Installing the Gateway
2. Position the device where it should be mounted and mark the location of the four holes for the mounting
screws or wall anchors.
3. Drill holes in the marked locations for the mounting screws or wall anchors.
Use a drill bit that is the appropriate size for the screws or anchors.
4. Drive four screws, not provided, through the mounting brackets into the holes that you drilled to attach
the device to the surface.
We recommend that you use four #10-32 or equivalent screws to make this attachment.
Ensure that the front panel of the device faces upward.

Surface Mounting with Keyholes

You can mount the IG21 on a flat vertical surface such as a wall by using the two keyholes on the back of the
gateway to attach the it to two mounting screws in the surface. While not as secure as mounting the device
using wall brackets, the keyhole mounting method is useful if you will unmount the device at times because
no tools are required for unmounting.
CAUTION: If you are mounting the gateway on drywall, use hollow wall anchors for the mounting screws.
To mount the gateway on a vertical surface by using its keyholes, follow these steps:
1. Determine where you want to mount the gateway and drill two holes for two mounting screws or wall
anchors.
The holes should be level with each other and their centers should be 120 mm apart. Use a drill bit that
is the appropriate size for the screws or anchors.
If you are using anchors for the mounting screws, put the anchors into the holes that you drilled.
2. Drive the mounting screws, not provided, into the holes or anchors so there is a minimum of 4.5 mm
between the bottom of the screw head and the mounting surface (see
Mounting
Make sure that the head of the mounting screws are sized to securely remain in the keyholes.
