If a Walrus HQ800 pump is leaking from the bottom of the pump housing even after replacing the mechanical shaft seal, possible causes include:
1. Improper installation of the mechanical seal, such as incorrect positioning or insufficient sealing pressure. 2. Damaged or improperly installed O-rings, especially the one on the pressure tank. 3. Cracks or damage in the pump housing itself. 4. Worn or damaged impellers, sleeves, or intermediate chambers not reassembled correctly. 5. Debris or dirt preventing proper sealing surfaces during reassembly.
Each component must be clean, correctly aligned, and securely fastened during reassembly to prevent leaks.
