2. Self diag functions
When a trouble occurs in the machine, the display indicates it and the machine stops immediately.
The display section differs in the Z-21 and in the Z-26.

The Z-26 provides "P" display for paper feed error display, and paper empty display.

A thermostat (which is open at 165 C) is provided to prevent against abnormally high temperature in the fusing section.

Since the Z-21 has no copy quantity display, the trouble codes are not displayed.
When the display PWB of the Z-26 is connected to the Z-21, however, the trouble codes can be checked similarly with the Z-26.

After the motor starts rotation, the table

sensor (TPSP) signal keeps unchanged for 15
sec.
The motor rotary encoder (MRE) signal keeps

unchanged for more than 50ms after turning
on the power or after returning to the auto
shut off state.

AE sensor output abnormality

The read value (AESP signal) of the white
mylar section in the back of the table glass
detected by the sensor is 0.2V or less.

Full wave signal is not inputted for more
than 1.5 sec.
