Caution!
If the cylinder unit is installed in the attic, the
upper solar connection to the cylinder unit
must always be below the lowest point of the
collector.
The gradient of the connection pipes between
the collector and the cylinder unit may not be
below 4 % (4 cm/m) at any point, in order to
ensure a sufficient flow rate of the solar fluid.
Caution!
The 2 in 1 solar copper pipe can only be bent by
hand in the uninsulated areas.
The bend radius must always be greater than
100 mm to prevent impermissible constrictions
in the cross-section, wrinkle formation and
kinks.
• Run the Vaillant 2 in 1 solar copper pipe from the roof
to the installation location for the cylinder unit. Please
observe the specifications on the max. length of the
connection cable and on the required slope.

Fig. 5.3 Removing the casing
• Remove the upper and lower casing from the front
of the cylinder unit by pulling them away from the
retaining clips.
Caution!
a
Where the recommended, reliable 2 in 1 solar
copper pipe is used, take care that the internal
cable for connecting to the solar sensor is not
damaged when cutting the copper pipe and the
insulation to length.
• Couple the line from the upper solar connection on
the collector (solar flow) to the left hand short copper
pipe on the solar cylinder at the top of the cylinder
unit.
• Couple the line from the lower solar connection on
the collector (solar return with cable) to the right
hand short copper pipe on the solar cylinder at the
top of the cylinder unit.
Note also the sticker on the top of the cylinder unit
for the positions of the connections.
