8. Limitation of exposure and personal protective
equipment
8.1 Personal protective gear:
Breathing protection:
Breathing protection in the event of a release of va-
pours/aerosols
Hand protection:
chemical-resistant protective gloves (EN 374). Suita-
ble materials even in the event of prolonged, direct
contact (recommended: protection index 6, corre-
sponding to > 480 minutes permeation time accord-
ing to EN 374):
Fluoroelastomer (FKM) – 0.7 mm layer thickness.
Suitable materials for brief contact or splashes (rec-
ommended: at least protection index 2, correspond-
ing to > 30 minutes permeation time according to
EN 374):
Nitrile rubber (NBR) – 0.4 mm layer thickness.
Owing to the large variety of types, observe the
manufacturers' operating instructions.
Eye protection: Safety glasses with lateral protec-
tion (framed glasses) (EN 166)
8.2 General safety and hygiene measures:
The usual protective measures for dealing with
chemicals must be observed.
