NDD-0305-01 FTTdp Network Termination Device Connecting to your new broadband service is easy The following pages describe step-by-step how to set up your Fiber to the Distribution Point (FTTdp) connection. To start, here’s an overview of how your connection may look when set up.

1. Power your NTD Take the supplied power cord and plug it into the port labelled A on the NTD, then plug the other end into a nearby power outlet. Switch on the power outlet (if required). The power indicator displays in solid blue to indicate the unit is correctly powered.

NDD-0305-01 FTTdp Network Termination Device 2. Connect your NTD Plug the telephone cable supplied with your NTD into the port labelled and the other end into your telephone wall socket. Wait for the DSL indicator to display in solid blue. This may take up to ten minutes. Do not...

3. Connect your own or your provider’s gateway Plug the Ethernet cable supplied with your own or your provider’s Wi-Fi gateway into the port labelled on your NTD then connect the other end into the correct port of your Wi-Fi gateway (usually the WAN port).

5. Mount the NTD USING THE DESKTOP STAND To save desk space and to improve cooling, place the NTD into the Desktop stand in the orientation shown below.

NDD-0305-01 FTTdp Network Termination Device MOUNTING THE NTD FLAT ON A DESKTOP The NTD may be placed flat on a desktop without the use of the stand.

MOUNTING THE NTD ON A WALL If you wish to mount the NTD on a wall, you can hang it via the slots on the back using two 8 gauge, self-tapping screws. When mounted on a wall, do not mount it higher than 6 feet from the ground.
