Use the USB cable supplied with the PMW-EX30 to
connect the dedicated USB connector for upgrade to
the USB port on the computer.
To disconnect the PMW-EX30 from the
computer

Unplug the USB cable from the USB connector on the
PMW-EX30, and from the USB port on the computer.

Replace the connector cover, and tighten the screw.

Installing the Microsoft .NET
Framework Runtime (When Using
Windows XP)
Go to the URL below, then from the Download Center,
download and install Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5.

Installing the Version Up Tool

From the Version Up Tool download site, download
the zip file of the Version Up Tool matching the model
to upgrade and your computer's OS, and save it to a
desired location in the computer.

Note
Check the model name and the version number of the
zip file, and download the file matching to your
camcorder.

Expand the zip file, and save the contents to a desired
location in the computer.
