- Page 2 Instructions for use SlimLine™ Pediatric SlimLine™ SlimLine™ / Pediatric SlimLine™ Cast Boot 1. Open the boot by means of the three / two hook and loop straps (A). 2. Enter foot into open boot. 3. P lease ensure that the foot is securely positioned in the boot and that the heel area of the foot is as far back as possible in the boot. 4. C lose boot with the hook and loop straps (A). The foot should be placed comfortably in the boot, not too loose and not too tight. Optional: The inner sole can be removed / replaced by a healthcare specialist. Indications > Fracture and cast care Caution SlimLine™ / Pediatric SlimLine™ cast boot has been prescribed by your physician to serve a particular purpose. Its design allows for the most rapid healing of fractures and recovery after surgery with unlimited mobility at the same time. Walking with this boot is more difficult than walking with conventional footwear; please read the following precautions. Do not attempt to drive while wearing this boot. Use extreme caution when climbing stairs, stepping up onto curbs and walking on uneven surfaces. Walk more slowly than usual. You are not wearing a normal street boot and more clearance is required for the wedge sole. Excessive weight bearing (edematous patients) may cause a breakdown of the boot’s functional sole. In case the sole must be fixed due to exten s ive wearing, please contact your physician or orthopedic technician. Recommen d ation to wear with bandages or socks. If the product is improperly handled its function and optimal safety can no longer be guaranteed.
