® TD-SCDMA TPC Measurement R&S CMW-KM75x/-KS75x/-KS760 What's New in this Revision 4 TD-SCDMA TPC Measurement In CDMA networks, control of the UE transmit power is essential to ensure stable transmission and an efficient radio resource management within the system. An output power of the UE transmitter that is too low decreases the coverage area while an excess output power may cause interference to other channels or systems.

® TD-SCDMA TPC Measurement R&S CMW-KM75x/-KS75x/-KS760 General Description 4.2 General Description The main purpose of the TD-SCDMA TPC measurement included in option R&S CMW-KM750 is to verify the correct reaction of the UE to received TPC commands. The TPC commands must be sent to the UE by another application, e.g. the TD- SCDMA signaling application (option R&S CMW-KS750).
  • Page 379 ® TD-SCDMA TPC Measurement R&S CMW-KM75x/-KS75x/-KS760 General Description General measurement procedure The steps to be performed in detail depend on the application used to send the TPC commands to the UE. The general procedure is as follows: 1. Connect your TD-SCDMA UE to the R&S CMW (see chapter 4.2.1, "Test Setup", on page 378).

® TD-SCDMA TPC Measurement R&S CMW-KM75x/-KS75x/-KS760 General Description Configuring measurements for single trigger pulses in combined signal path In order to use a trigger signal providing only one single trigger pulse ("Once" trigger of TPC setups "Test Step ...") to trigger a measurement, you must configure the mea- surement so that it measures only one measurement interval - which is then triggered by the single trigger pulse.
