    General Operating Instructions BEFORE OPERATION Clear the lawn of all sticks, stones, wire and other debris which may be caught or thrown by the mower blades. Check grass condition. If wet, wait until later in the day. If grass is wet, the grass catcher is likely to become plugged.

    General Operating Instructions AFTER OPERATION Remove any debris from the the screen on the underside of the lid. Note: The lid screen can be partially removed for easier cleaning and should be cleaned regularly. The blower housing and tube should be removed for cleaning.

Remove the impeller shaft bearing (D, Figure 1) from the blower housing. 3. Install the blower mount plate (C) onto the blower housing and reinstall the 5/16-18 X 5/8"...

    Figure 8. Install Blower Drive Pulley Blower Installation 1. Fit the Fast-Vac unit into place over and against the mower discharge, aligning the holes in the discharge mounting brackets with the holes in the Fast-Vac mounting bracket.
  • Page 11 Blower Installation Blower Belt Installation 1. Install the blower drive belt. Refer to Figure 11 for the proper belt routing. It may be required to loosen the idler pulley mounting hardware to get the belt past the belt keeps. IMPORTNANT NOTE: The gray area denotes the flat side of the belt.

    (1) 5/l6 lock washer, up through the pulley guard holes in the deck. 2. Install the Fast-Vac drive pulley guard onto the bolts inserted in previous step, secure with two (2) 5/16 nylon nuts. Tighten securely.
  • Page 13 Collector Installation 2. Install the bumper mount (A, Figure 17) onto the rear bumper. Secure using the existing hardware on the unit. 3. Install the bagger mount brackets (B, Figure 18) onto the bagger mount (A) as shown in Figure 18. Loosely install 5/l6-18 X 3/4"...
  • Page 14 Collector Installation Install Mount Posts 1. Temporarily install the collector mount posts (A, Figure 20) into the collector plate and install the hitch pins (B). This will insure that the holes are properly aligned for easy installation and removal. 2. Tighten the 5/16-18 bolts (C) that mount the bagger mount bracket to the bagger mount plate securely and remove the hitch pins and mount posts.

    Collector Installation Install Collector Bags 1. Raise the collector hood and slide the collector bags (A, Figure 22) onto the frame rails (B). 2. Lower the hood and push the lock pin (D) through the hood lock plate (C). IMPORTANT NOTE: The collector bags are constructed with three mesh panels and one solid panel.
  • Page 16 Collector Installation Install Hose 1. Lower the mower deck to the lowest cutting position. 2. See Figure 25. Install the hose (A) onto the blower and secure with the removable clamp (with knob) (B). At least two bands must cover the outlet of the blower (C).

    Blower & Collector Removal Blower & Collector Removal 1. Remove the nuts (A, Figure 27) securing the belt guard top (B) to the deck guard (C). Remove the belt guard top. 2. Pull the blower idler arm lever (D) forward to release the belt tension and remove the belt from the spindle pulley.
