3 Check that the energizer is switched off.
4 Refit the battery compartment. The battery compartment will only fit correctly one
way to ensure correct operation.
Caution!

To avoid damaging the energizer, remove the 1.5 V dry cell batteries as soon as
they are discharged and when storing the energizer.

When inserting the batteries, be careful not to short-circuit the spring terminals
inside the top section of the battery compartment.
Installation
Read all of the safety instructions in this manual carefully before installing the energizer.
Mounting the energizer
Attach the energizer directly to the fence wire using the fence wire clip. Try to position
the energizer as near as possible to the centre of the electric fence.
Connecting to an electric fence
The fence wire clip is also the fence output. Connect the green earth clip to a portable
earth rod. This can be a metal, tread-in electric fence post.
Operation
Switch on the energizer using the On/Off switch.
The pulse indicator light flashes each time the energizer pulses.
