Maintenance, Care and Inspection

Maintenance and Inspection

Maintenance and inspection should only be carried out by
qualified personnel.
After use clean any dirt or water off the unit and, if necessary,
lubricate the moving parts of the pulley system.
After repairs or maintenance the pulley system should be tested
to ensure that it is operating correctly.
If the pulley system has been used outdoors additional care
should be taken regarding maintenance.
Never repair or maintain the pulley system while it is loaded.
The pulley system should be inspected prior to use concerning
any damage or faults. Also listen for unusual sounds which may
indicate trouble.
Check frequently by operating the pulley system with and without
a load, stopping at various positions to test that the load is being
held correctly. If the load moves or slips the pulley system should
be taken out of service and repaired.
Immediately replace the lifting rope in case of any damage.

Cleaning and Storing

Wipe the unit with a lightly moistened cloth. Do not immerse it
into liquids.
Store the pulley system indoors in a dry place that is protected
from dust, dirt and extreme temperatures.
