Troubleshooting EXSIDE

System malfunction
Mid post
not movable
Locking mid-post is
difficult / does not
function
Locking slide block in
mid post has broken off
Moveable bulk head
sticks at the mid post
Moveable bulk head
sticks at the front
Upper rail does not lift
(high enough)
Upper rail does not
fully lower
Doors do not close
Doors 3 and 4 do not

Cause
Roller mechanism is damaged
Blockage in rail
Frozen
Claw is dirty
Spring broken in sprung locking catch
Partial load too heavy in the centre
Too much pressure on the upper rail
Incorrect securing method
Mid post angled inwards due to load
between door 3/4 and the mid post on
the outside.
Roller is broken
Joint damaged
Height difference
Valve in incorrect position
Mechanical blockage
Not enough oil
Too cold, oil too thick
Frozen due to ice deposits
Accumulation of dirt on the steel rails
Sheet at the front is stuck between the
bulkhead and
the upper rail
Pressure caused by load
Trailer is distorted
Mid post incorrectly positioned
Incorrect securing method
Too much pressure (wind) on the door
panel
Accumulation of dirt
Set of doors not fully open

Solution
Contact your service point workshop
Unblock
Place trailer in heated area
Clean the claw at the bottom
Secure the handle and contact your service
point workshop
Roll the front set of doors to the centre
Contact your service point workshop
Clean the space between door 3/4 and the
mid post when the trailer is empty
Replace roller
Contact your service point workshop
Lower upper rail completely
Place valve in the correct position
Check for mechanical blockage
Top up the oil
Place trailer in heated area
Lift the upper rail and clean the top of the
steel rails
Lift the upper rail and release the sheet
Use relieves, eventually in combination
with landing legs (see CH 5.10)
Drive carefully to a flat surface
Fully open both sets of doors, release the
mid post and position it in the right place
Contact your service point workshop
Release the lock using the sheet stick and
contact your service point workshop
Push the set of doors fully open, hold
down the locking device and pull the set
of doors to the centre
