    • When connected with the projector wirelessly, delay of transfer may occur due to the applications running in the device or other operations. • Performance may vary depending on the smart device OS or the wireless environment of the manufacturer. • Mirroring is equipped with "SoftAP" to enable wireless connection even without the connection of external router. For details, check the user's manual of the device you are using. • Mirroring connection in a smart device with Android OS requires Android OS 4.2.2 or later. • Mirroring connection from a Windows PC, mirroring response of graphic, Wireless LAN, hardware and software specifications is required with OS of Windows 8.1 or later. • When playing a video after connecting wirelessly with a smart device, play from the beginning because the connection may not be established properly due to buffering if you attempt to play from the middle depending on the player of the smart device. • Wireless quality may vary depending on the connected device or environment under a wireless environment. • Connection and operation with the OS of each device is verified independently by Canon Korea Business Solutions Inc. and does not guarantee operation for each company of the device. Also, check our website for the latest version information on the OS for connection. • Charge the battery sufficiently before using. • Maintain a room temperature (10 - 40℃) if stored for a long period of time. • Throw away the battery separately as recycled product.     • Do not place metals such as accessories or containers filled with liquid above the product. If foreign materials contact with the inner electrical parts, this may cause fire or electric shock. If entered into the product, stop using immediately by turning off the power of main unit and contact the dealer where you had purchased the product. • Do not use near a medical device. Electromagnetic waves from the product will have impact to cause an accident due to malfunction. Caution • Do not install at the following places. This may cause injury, fire or electric shock. Unstable places/places with vibration/places expected to have rain or snow coming in/places under high temperature/places near flammables/places with possibility of blocking the vent (places near wall or above bed/sofa/long fur carpet)/places that are not ventilated well/ places with a lot of moisture or dust/outdoors or places not protected by direct sunlight • Do not connect anything other than the designated ones to the connection parts of the products. This may cause fire or electric shock. • Do not install at an unstable area for installations using tripod. The projector may drop to cause device damage or injury. • To exclude the danger of electromagnetic field exposure, using 20cm away from human body (torso) is recommended. Concerning Power Supply Warning • Do not perform any actions such as damaging, processing or pulling the power adapter, or bending it by force.     Concerning Handling of Product Warning • Do not disassemble or modify the product. This may cause fire or electric shock. • Keep power adapter, cables and electrical parts, etc. out of the reach of children. This may cause an unexpected accident. • If there is strange sound, smell, heating or smoke, stop using immediately by turning off the power of main unit and contact the dealer where you had purchased the product. If you keep using the product, it is very dangerous as this may cause fire or electric shock. • Do not use flammable spray, etc. near this product. If foreign materials like gas contact with the inner electrical parts, this may cause fire or electric shock. • Do not open or cut the battery by uninstalling. • Do not disassemble the battery, heat or apply shock. • Do not expose the battery to heat or flammables. • Avoid contacting skin or eyes in case of a battery leak. If contacted, rinse the contacted part with adequate amount of water and consult a physician. • When you dispose the product (including battery), do not burn or throw into fire. The heat may cause explosion or fire. • Do not touch with hands because the temperature of vent area becomes high during the operation (while projecting).     Concerning Maintenance Warning • Turn off the power when you are cleaning the product. This may cause fire or electric shock. • Unplug the power adapter periodically to wipe the dust or contaminations piled on the surroundings and the electrical outlet. • The dust will absorb moisture and the current will flow to cause fire. • When you clean the product, use the cloth dampened with water and squeezed tightly. Do not use flammable solvents such as alcohol, benzene or thinner. If they contact with the inner electrical parts, this may cause fire or electric shock. • Check the power adapter periodically for heating, rust, bending, wear or crack.   • Page 10: Basic Operation Method

    • The battery may explode or the product may break down if battery is charged with a non-certified charger. • Warranty is not applied for the damages caused by improper method of use. Turn on the device by turning on the battery switch. The device will switch to a standby mode. Projector Battery switch power button Hold the power button of projector to turn on the projector. The system power is applied and the system booting screen is displayed. Note • To use the projector, turn on both battery switch and the power button of projector. • If only battery switch is turned on, this can be used only for charging the battery. • When you are not using the projector, turn OFF both battery switch and the power button of projector.     Initial Setup When you boot up for the first time, you will enter the initial setup mode. Select language ❶ ❶ ❷ ❸ Select time zone ❷ Select input ❸ language Focus Adjustment Adjust by turning the focus adjustment ring left and right until the screen image projected from the projector becomes clear. Note • When you use the focus adjustment ring, adjust focus by turning gently. If you apply too much force, there is a risk of damaging or destroying the focus adjustment ring. • The focus might not be adjusted if you are out of the limited projection distance. • The screen size becomes larger and the brightness becomes lower as the projection distance (distance between the product and the screen) becomes greater. • When you project upward, you might have to readjust the focus. Volume Adjustment Adjust volume by pressing the volume adjustment buttons (+, -). Since the volume adjustment status appears on the screen if you press the volume button while using, you can check as you adjust the volume.     Controlling Touchpad On the screen where image is projected, actions such as selecting menu, launching application, clicking button or entering keyboard text are possible using touchpad. Touch pad Note • Take precautions to avoid any materials that conduct electricity from contacting the touchpad or touch button. The touchpad might not operate properly or break down due to the electric stimulation such as static electricity. • Because the edge of touchpad is a part where the recognition of touch ends, touchpad may not operate properly when you press this part. • Touch the touchpad with your finger.      Using Projector  Home Screen Home screen is a starting screen to run the key applications and features of the product. Tap a home screen icon to move to the desire page or feature pane. ❶ ❷ ❸ ❹ ❺ ❻ ❼ ❽ ❶ Status Bar: Displays status icon, date or time of the device. : Displays current time, year/month/day, and day of week : Displays the connection status of USB storage device. : Displays the Micro SD card mounting status. : Displays the connection status of Bluetooth. : Displays the connection status of Wi-Fi. : Displays the battery power level. ❷ Mirroring: You can share the mobile device screen wirelessly. ❸ HDMI: Starts the HDMI connection. ❹ My App: You can view a list of various types of installed applications. ❺ Browser: Starts the browser for internet connection. ❻ Multimedia: Starts video, music or album applications. ❼ Settings: You can check and change the device settings. ❽ Add: Press [Add] to add shortcuts of the applications in My App. (Up to 6) MP250 User Guide...

    Settings window. Select 'Wi-Fi Setting' in Network Setting and turn on the feature. Select the Wi-Fi you want from the searched network list. In case of the secure Wi-Fi with picture of a lock, enter the password to connect. Press Connect to connect to the Wi-Fi network. Note • The Wi-Fi network that had been connected before is connected automatically without entering password. • To prevent being automatically connected to the previously connected Wi-Fi network, click on the Wi-Fi network on the list and select 'Delete'.     Tap the 'Setting' icon on the Home screen and tap 'Other' on the Settings window. Tap 'Developer Option' on the Other Settings window.     Projection Settings Projection Mode You can rotate the image. (Auto/Manual) Keystone Compensation You can compensate keystone on top and bottom. (Auto/Manual) Brightness Can be adjusted to a maximum of 50% in case of battery and a maximum 100% when you use a power adapter. The settings will be reset when you shut down the device. Color Temperature Compensation You can compensate the color temperature of the projection screen to standard/ cold colors/warm colors. Audio Settings Adjust the audio volume.   • Page 25 Check the software build number of the device before starting the update. You can check the build number in Settings>About us>Equipment Info. Download the software update from the website (http://asia.canon/en/ support). Change the name of the downloaded file (upgrade_MiniPJ_Vxx.zip) to 'upgrade_MiniPJ.zip' and save to the root directory of USB or SD card.

    Turn on the mirroring function on the smart device you want to connect to. Select “MiniPJ_xxxx” from the selection screen on the smart device you want to connect to. The screen of the smart device is projected by the projector once the smart device and the projector are successfully connected. Note • Wireless connection (mirroring) is supported on Android OS (4.2.2 or later) and Windows 8.1 or later. Please use the HDMI connection on smart devices with any other OS installed. • The method for setting the mirroring function differs depending on the smart device manufacturer. • If the connection fails while attempting to establish a wireless connection or there is an error on the screen, cancel mirroring mode and try again.     HDMI Connection Note • It takes several seconds to connect HDMI. • HDMI cable is sold separately. • Use a certified cable with HDMI logo. Connect the smart device and the projector using HDMI cable. Tap [HDMI] on the Home screen of the projector. Charging Time Battery Life About 3 hours About 2 hours Note • Charging time and battery life may vary depending on the charged conditions and the environment used. • The battery life gradually gets shorter as time passes by and the time required to charge may become longer. • Charge using the power adapter (DC 12V/3A) enclosed with the projector.     Turn on the device by turning on the battery switch. Battery switch Connect a USB cable (Type-A) to the first USB port of the projector.     When wireless connection fails • Check the wireless environment. When the screen appears as trapezoid shape • Adjust the position so that the screen and the transmitted light of the product become perpendicular. When large video caption is displayed • Adjust the caption size using a video player app (application) that can adjust the caption size. When video and sound are not played • Video and sound are not played on the codecs that are not supported. • Use by converting the codec of the file. • Some codecs such as Dolby (AC3, etc.) or DTS are not supported.
