    If your projector does not seem to be operating properly, read this manual again, check operations and cable connections, and try the solutions in the “Troubleshooting” section in the user’s manual.     • Ruptured lamps may emit dust and gas (containing mercury vapor) out of the exhaust vents. If so, immediately open windows and doors to ventilate the room. Additionally, shards of glass may be scattered. Do not attempt lamp replacement yourself. Instead, contact an installer or Canon Customer Support Center for internal cleaning, inspection, and lamp replacement.

    ETUP AND PERATION Inserting the Remote Control Batteries Remove the battery compartment cover by sliding the cover in the direction of the arrow (A). Pull out the cover (B)..     Starting and Shutting down the Projector Connect the power cord to the projector. Connect the other end to a wall outlet. The POWER LED on the projector light. Turn on the connected devices. Ensure the POWER LED not a flashing. Then press the POWER button to turn on the projector.

    Adjusting the Projector Level Take note of the following when setting up the projector:  The projector table or stand should be level and sturdy.  Position the projector so that it is perpendicular to the screen. To adjust the angle of the picture, turn the Adjustable feet right or left until the desired angle has been achieved.

    Cleaning the Projector Clean the projector frequently to prevent dust from settling on the surface. A dirty lens may ruin the quality of the projected image. Caution: Before cleaning the projector, always turn it off, unplug it after the cooling fan stops, and wait at least 45 minutes.

    Using the Kensington Lock Using the Kensington Lock If you are concerned about security, attach the projector to a permanent object with the Kensington slot and a security cable.     These guidelines provide tips to deal with problems you may encounter while using the projector. If the problem remains unsolved, contact Canon Customer Support Center. Often after time spent troubleshooting, the problem is traced to something as simple as a loose connection.
