2. Press <ENTER> to move to the 'Parity Select' screens. [OddParity Enter] will be
displayed.
3. Pressing <SELECT> will move you through the three 'Parity Select' screens and the
'Exit' screen. When the parity (Odd Parity, Even Parity, or No Parity) you wish to select
is displayed, press <ENTER>. This will set that parity for the serial port. It will also
move your display to the Home Level Menu, Time/Date screen.
4. If you press <ENTER> when [Enter to Exit] is displayed, the unit will move to the
second level menu with no change to the parity setting.
5. If you press <SELECT>, the unit will move (wrap) to the [OddParity Enter] screen
instead.

MONITORING UNIT STATUS

Unit status is monitored in the Home Level Menu. From the 'Time/Date' screen press
<SELECT> to move to the next 'Monitor' screen. Remember these are "Monitor-only" screens,
and no changes can be made from them. They are available even when Local Control is disabled.
These screens show:
1. Time and Date
2. Unit Serial Number
3. Local Control Enable or Disabled
4. Microphone Sensitivity
5. Serial Port Parity

PC FLASH RAM CARD

The PC Flash Ram Card, or memory card is in a plug-in slot, and may be removed in the field if
necessary. When you receive your unit, the Ram Card will be formatted , but you will have to
install it.
To install the card, inspect it for obvious damage, then follow installation instructions beginning
with Section 2.13. (It must be installed component-side up.)
If you do replace the RAM Card, you must have the replacement card formatted prior to use.

3.12.1 Removing and Replacing the PC FLASH RAM CARD

If you must remove the RAM card, you must power down the Diamond DX unit first.
