1.6.2 Scheduled Control

A more limited set of control features may be executed from a schedule file. This is a computer
file at Network Control which is sent in the data stream, and tells each unit to perform a series of
the functions listed below.
1. Play any spot at a specific time
2. Display a message to the unit Front-Panel LCD
3. Set relative playback and music volumes to 'Audio Out w/ads' output

1.6.3 Local Monitor/Control

The front-panel monitor and control functions use a two-button control and LCD to operate a
menu-driven control and reporting system. See section 3 for details on monitoring and
controlling the unit.
The following functions may be controlled by the local user, but note that The Muzak NOC may
disable all local control functions marked by '*'.
1. Set serial port parity
2. Set coarse input sensitivity for MIC IN port*
3. Record a local spot from MIC IN port*
4. Delete a local spot*
5. Play back a local spot (immediate, not scheduled)*
6. Monitor unit status, including the real-time clock, unit serial number, and local control
capability (See section 3.11 and Table 3-3.)
