Symptom
Transferred songs cannot
be found.
The volume is not loud
enough.
There is no sound from right
channel of the headphones.
Or right channel sound is
heard from both sides of the
headphones.
Playback has stopped
suddenly.
The player cannot format.  The remaining battery is low or insufficient.
Cause/Remedy
 The built-in flash memory of the player was
formatted in Windows Explorer.
 Format the built-in flash memory on the player
(  page 49).
 The player was disconnected from the computer
while data was being transferred.
 Transfer usable data back to your computer and
format the built-in flash memory on the player
(  page 49).
 After dragging and dropping in Windows Explorer,
data hierarchy levels do not correspond to the player
(  page 16).
 Transferred files are not in a playable format.
 Songs may not be played back, depending on the
file format. For details, see "Supported file
format" of "Specifications" (  page 80).
 The folders or files are not under the "MUSIC"
folder.
 Place them under the "MUSIC" folder by
dragging and dropping (  page 16).
 The audio files are beyond the 8th folder level.
 Move the audio files beyond the 8th folder level
to a lesser folder level in Windows Explorer ( 
page 16).
 If the folder/file name begins with ". " (dot), its name
will not appear on the player.
 Rename the data in Windows Explorer.
 The maximum number of files that can be displayed
has been reached. The maximum number of files is
2,048 files, the maximum number of folders is 1,024
folders, and the total maximum number of files and
folders directly under one folder is approximately
300.
 Delete unnecessary data in Windows Explorer.
 "AVLS" is enabled.
 Disable "AVLS" (  page 37).
 The headphone jack is not fully inserted.
 If the headphones are not connected correctly,
sound will not be output properly. Connect the
headphones into the jack until it clicks (  page 10).
 The remaining battery is insufficient.
 Charge the battery by connecting to a running
computer (  page 13).
