Introduction
This instruction manual is for users of the TRUST 750 LCD POWERC@M ZOOM.
The TRUST 750 LCD POWERC@M ZOOM can be used to take photographs, to
record live video images or as a webcam for videoconferencing on the Internet. The
applications supplied with the camera have a wide range of options for editing
photographs and video clips. When the Trust 750 LCD POWERC@M ZOOM is
connected to your computer, it can be accessed directly like a removable disk. You
can then open the photographs and video clips, edit them, send them via e-mail, save
them on your computer, etc. The camera also works with Mac OS 8.9~9.1 and 10.1
or later releases as a mass storage device.

Safety
2.1
General information
Carefully read the following instructions before use.
- The TRUST 750 LCD POWERC@M ZOOM does not require any special
maintenance. Use a slightly damp, soft cloth to clean the camera.
- Do not use aggressive substances, such as white spirit, to clean the device. These
may harm the material.
- Do not submerge the device in liquid. This may be dangerous and will damage the
device. Do not use this device near water.
- Make sure nothing is placed on the cable. Do not use this device in an area where
the cable can become worn or damaged as a result of people walking over it.
- Do not repair this device yourself. If you open this device, you may touch live
components.
- Under the following circumstances, have the device repaired by qualified
personnel:
- The cable or plug is damaged or worn.
- The device has come into contact with rain, water or another liquid.
2.2
Batteries
- The alkaline batteries supplied are not rechargeable. Do not try to recharge them,
because this may cause them to explode.
- Never throw the batteries onto an open fire. The batteries may explode.
- Never drill holes into the batteries.
- Keep the batteries out of the reach of small children.
- Only use AA alkaline batteries with this camera. You can also use rechargeable
AA NiMH batteries (minimum 1800 mAh).
- When the alkaline batteries are empty, ask your local authority where you can
dispose of them.
Note:
Standard AA NiCd batteries are unsuitable for use with this
device.
Note:
Do not use old and new batteries at the same time, because the
old batteries may deplete the new ones.
Note:
The batteries should be removed if the camera is not going to be
used for some time. This will save the battery capacity.

    Insert the two AA alkaline batteries as shown on the inside of the battery flap. Close the battery compartment again by pushing it closed and sliding it into place. The TRUST 750 LCD POWERC@M ZOOM is now ready for use. Note: Inserting the batteries incorrectly may cause damage to the camera.
  • Page 3 TRUST 750 LCD POWERC@M ZOOM Function Description Macro mode The macro switch (7, figure 1) can be used to select the macro mode. Set the switch to one of the two positions. : Macro mode: select this mode to take close-up photographs (distance 20 to 25 cm).

    TRUST 750 LCD POWERC@M ZOOM Quick menu The previous sections of chapter 5 explain how to use the different menus. These menus are advanced menus which require a fair number of operations before the desired setting can be made. If you wish to change a setting quickly whilst taking photographs, you can also use the quick menu.

    Inserting a memory card (not included) The Trust 750 LCD POWERC@M ZOOM has a 16 MB internal memory. This memory can be extended with a SD or MMC memory card (not included).

    TRUST 750 LCD POWERC@M ZOOM Taking photographs Follow the instructions given below to take photographs using the Trust 750 LCD PowerC@m Zoom. Turn the camera on by sliding the ON/OFF button (2, figure 1) open. Set the camera to the photo mode ( ) using button 3 (see figure 2).

    Recording video clips The Trust 750 LCD PowerC@m Zoom can also be used to record short video clips at 15 frames per second and with a resolution of 352 x 288. The video clip will be saved in AVI format.

Press the left arrow button to return to the play mode. 6.10 Deleting photographs and video clips You can choose to delete a single photograph or video clip or to delete all the photographs and video clips from the memory.

    If it does not start automatically, carry out the following: Select 'Run' from the Windows Start menu. Type [D:\SETUP.EXE] and click on 'OK' to start the Trust Software Installer. The Trust Software Installer will appear (see figure 4).

    TRUST 750 LCD POWERC@M ZOOM Connecting the camera The camera can be connected to a computer in two different ways: as a mass storage device and as a PC camera for videoconferencing on the Internet. 7.3.1 Connecting as a mass storage device This option makes it possible to download photographs and video clips onto your computer.

    Install the applications as follows. Follow points 1 to 3 of chapter 7.2 to start the Trust Software Installer. Click on one of the applications mentioned above.

    Open ‘My Computer’. All of your computer’s available disks will be displayed. If you do not have any similar devices installed on your computer, the disk entitled ‘Removable disk’ is the Trust camera. Double-click on the ‘Removable disk’. Your photographs will appear in Windows Explorer.

Open PhotoImpression via the Windows Start menu (Start – Programs – Arcsoft – Arcsoft PhotoImpression 3 – PhotoImpression 3).
