Prolonged heating system shutdown
If you do not intend using your heating system for a
while, you can switch it off. We recommend you con-
tact your heating contractor before and after shutting
down the system for longer periods.
Your heating contractor can then take suitable steps,
such as ensuring frost protection for the system or
heating surface preservation.
Shutdown
1. Only disconnect the mains plug of the boiler for
maintenance and repair purposes.
■ Otherwise the Lambda probe will not be heated.
This can cause damage to the Lambda probe
during longer shutdown periods.
The boiler circuit pump is switched on briefly at
■
regular intervals.

Note
No special measures are required for a temporary sys-
tem shutdown.
2. Complete the work in accordance with the "mainte-
nance intervals" table on page 47.
3. If there is a risk of frost, drain the boiler. Observe
the instructions provided by your heating system
installer. Alternatively, you could ask them to add
antifreeze.
