    “1000 HOURS CONTROL” TEST The Jaeger-LeCoultre Manufacture pays close attention to the quality and to the final checks of its watches. The 1000 Hours Control is a series of in- ternal qualification tests for each of the models in our collection, as well as inter- nal tests on the production of your watch, which go beyond official timing tests.

    MOVEMENT Jaeger-LeCoultre Calibre 381. Important note regarding the power re- serves of the Calibre 381 Dual-Wing. The Dual-Wing movement of the Duo- mètre Quantième Lunaire watch model features two barrels. The first barrel pro- vides the watch’s regulator (regulating or- gan) with 50 hours of power reserve.

  • Page 11 Important: Although the two power reserves are in- dependent, it is vital that both are wound before the timepiece can be used. If one of the power reserves is depleted, the movement will stop (no damage will be caused to the movement). It will thus be necessary to wind the two power re- serves according to the instructions to restart the calibre.

SETTING THE TIME The Duomètre Quantième Lunaire watch fea-tures a unique resetting mechanism for the seconds and jumping seconds hands, called the “jumping stop-seconds”. This enables the two hands to be reset by the crown and for the time to be set on the watch once an hour signal sounds to a precision of 1/6th of a second.
