1.3.6 OVERCRANK SHUTDOWN

After a prespecified duration of cranking, this func-
tion ends the cranking if the engine has failed
to start.

1.3.7 RPM SENSOR LOSS SHUTDOWN

If the speed signal to the control panel is lost, engine
shutdown will occur.

DC FUSE

This clearly labeled fuse is located on the front panel
of the control system. It protects the panel wiring and
components from damaging overload. Always remove
this fuse before commencing work on the generator.
The unit will not start or crank if the fuse is blown.
Replace the fuse with one of the same size, type, and
rating. Generac normally uses an AGC fuse rated at
15 amps.

FUEL SYSTEM

1.5.1 FUEL REQUIREMENTS

It is the responsibility of the installer to make sure
that only the correct recommended fuel is sup-
plied to the generator fuel system. Thereafter, the
owner/operator must make certain that only the
proper fuel is supplied.

fuel systems, refer to Engine-Generator Standby
Electric Power Systems Installer's Guide and
Reference Manual (part #46622).

1.5.2 DIESEL FUEL SYSTEM

Diesel fuel is supplied to the generator set from a
base-mounted fuel tank.
Diesel fuels are less volatile than gaseous fuels, how-
ever, careless installation can lead to safety hazards
and/or serious problems with engine/generator per-
formance and reliability.
Appropriate care should be taken in applications
where extremely low ambient temperatures are
possible to ensure the temperature of the diesel
fuel is not allowed to fall below levels where
"gelling" could occur.
