Standing Harness
Fitting the Sling from a Standing Position
1
Position the patient's legs into the leg supports.
You can adjust the length of the leg supports for
comfort as appropriate.
3
To attach the Standing Harness to the spreader
bar, firstly place the patient's arms through the
loop straps as shown, and attach to the spreader
bar by using the coloured loop straps. Ensure
the same colour loop is used on both straps and
hook onto the side hooks. Check both loops are
securely attached prior to use.
4
2
Raise and position the Standing Harness up
towards the chest. The Standing Harness is
equipped with two adjustable safety clasps.
Attach both safety clasps as shown and tighten
for comfort as appropriate (the fit should be snug,
not tight).
ATTENTION:
Check that the safety clasps and the
connection loops are all securely attached
prior to using the Standing Harness.
The Standing Harness is not a general-
purpose sling and will not be suitable for
some clients.
The Standing Harness is only suitable for
the Oxford/Hoyer 6 point spreader bar.
