When the patient is sedated and unrelaxed
Turn the device on by

pressing the power button
Place the NMBA electrode on

the patient's ulnar nerve. The
placement of the electrode can also
be confirmed by using the mapping
function on the STIMPOD.

Connect the NMBA cable to the
STIMPOD.
Recall the last current setting by
pressing the enter button.

Adjust the current (if needed)

with the adjustment wheel.
Press the ENTER button to
confirm the new current.
Connect the ECG clips to the
NMBA electrode. Place the 3D

accelerometer on the patient's
thumb, using the strap to
secure it. Make sure there is
enough space for the thumb to
move freely.
Press the play button to
initiate the TOF sequence.

The actual current delivered (1) and the
TOF Ratio (3) will be displayed on the
screen. A refractory timer (2) will indicate
the time needed for the nerve to recover
before another stimulation is allowed.
