Playing Back Songs or Audio Files

Playing Back an Audio File

NOTICE
Do not disconnect the USB flash drive or turn off the power
to the instrument during playback of an audio file. Other-
wise, damage to the data may occur.

Connect a USB flash drive to the [USB
TO DEVICE] terminal.
For details, refer to "Connecting a USB Flash
Drive" on page 56.

Press the [SONG/AUDIO] button. The
AUDIO icon appears.
If the SONG icon appears, press the [SONG/
AUDIO] button again.

Rotate the dial to select the desired
audio file.
You can also use the [−]/[+] buttons the top right
side of the panel. Press the [−] and [+] buttons
simultaneously to instantly jump to the first audio
file.

Press the [
start playback of the audio file.
During playback, "PLY" and the time elapsed is
shown on the display. To stop playback, press the
[
] (Start/Stop) button again.

The following operations cannot be executed for audio file

• Changing the Voice
• A-B Repeat
• Muting a track
• Changing the tempo

No USB flash drive is connected.

There is no audio file in the USB flash
drive.

Cannot load the audio file because the for-
mat is not compatible with this instrument.
USB Err
The USB flash drive may have a problem.
• Check if the USB flash drive is included
on the Compatible Device List on the
website (page 56).
• Format the USB flash drive (page 58).
Song/Audio File Transport Con-
trols: Fast Forward, Fast
Reverse, and Pause
[
] (Fast Forward) button
During playback, press this button to rapidly skip
ahead to a later point in the Song or audio file. For a
Song, pressing this button while playback is stopped
will increase the measure number.
[
] (Fast Reverse) but-
ton
During playback, press this button
to rapidly return to an earlier point
in the Song or audio file. For a
Song, Fast Reverse returns by
measure. Pressing this button
while playback is stopped will
decrease the measure number.
NOTE
• During playback of a Song, if A-B repeat is set, the Fast
Reverse and Fast Forward will only work within the range
between A and B.
• The [
], [
], and [
] buttons cannot be used for Demo
Song playback started by using the [DEMO] button.
• When you fast-reverse the Song with the DSP2 turned on, the
DSP2 Effect may not function or sound as expected. If this
happens, turn the DSP2 off and then back on, or stop playing
the Song once to restore the DSP2 state.
