Once the Terrastar is attached and at the correct working depth, the top link should be set at an angle in which the convergence point between the upper and lower link arms should fall at the front axle. This can be achieved by altering the top link pin attachment points on the tractor and drill.

    SETTING MACHINE LEVEL For optimal working, ensure the Terrastar is set level from front to rear and left to right on the top-link of the tractor. To confirm the machine has been set level, it is advised that whilst one person is operating the machine, another person should ensure the machine is set parallel to the ground.

    Field Use For best results Claydon recommend running the Terrastar so that the blades run 50mm (2”) deep in the ground (See page 18). The point of the blades dig pockets of soil and create a fine tilth, levelling the field and leaving the soil surface largely intact to carry machines whilst encouraging seeds to germinate and helping water to drain from the surface layer.

    Lubrication should be performed using Lithium complex 3 grease for all grease points. An overview of the greasing points for the Terrastar Machine can be seen below.
