  • Page 2 1. USB-HID KBW If your RT220 come with USB interface, the default setting is USB-HID KBW, it's plug and play, connect the scanner with your computer and run Notepad / MS Word, after reading the barcode, the decoded data will be shown there.
  • Page 3 2. USB-COM (USB COM Port Emulation). If your RT220 come with USB-COM (USB COM Port Emulation), you will need to have a software that can work with a serial port to test the scanner, please download and refer to the RT220-Guide for driver install on Part IV.

RS232 Serial Port If your RT220 come with RS232 interface, you will need to have a software that can work with a serial port to test the scanner, please download and refer to the RT220-Guide for driver install on Part IV Button Mode (default mode): Press the scan button to run the decoding.

Setting of RT220 Run the Configuration Tool.exe (connect the tool with RT220 is necessary) and choose the setting option from the left side column and then double click it to generate a setting code on the right area, scan the setting code from your PC screen, then the setting will be active immediately.
