age to the External Reset Terminals (TB5/5 and TB5/
6), or through a remote communication interface. By
pressing the front panel RESET TARGETS pushbut-
ton, the flashing LED will be reset to Metering mode,
and the fault information will still be retained.
Each record of the intermediate target data contains
8-cycle information (1-prefault and 7 post-fault), with
7 analog inputs and 24 digital data (at the sampling
rate of 8 per cycle).
The intermediate target data is stored in a temporary
memory and will be lost when relay is deenergized.
The intermediate target data can only be obtained
through remote communication. If OSC is included,
the intermediate target data is provided 8 sample per
cycle. If OSC is not included, the intermediate target
data is provided one sample per cycle.
11.3 16 OSCILLOGRAPHIC RECORDS
The oscillographic record has 8 samples per cycle, 1
cycle pre-trigger and 7 cycles post-trigger. It includes
7 analog and 24 digital intermediate targets (test
points) for each of the 16 oscillographic records. The
records are stored in a temporary memory and will
be lost when the relay is deenergized. The data can
11-2
be accessed via the communication port only.
The oscillographic data taken is controlled by the
selection of TRIP/Z2TR/Z2Z3/∆I∆V in the OSC func-
tion, where
TRIP — Data are taken only if trip action
occurs. The data collection is started
from ∆I∆V if the trip occurs within 7
cycles.
Z2TR — The data collection is triggered by
Zone-2 pickup or any trip action
occurs.
Z2Z3 — The data collection is triggered by
Zone-2 or Zone-3 unit pickup, or any
trip action occurs.
∆I∆V —
The data collection is triggered by any
∆I, ∆V, Zone-2 or Zone-3 pickup, or
any trip action occurs.
Note: Setting at ∆I∆V is not recommended
because a lot of meaningless data will be
stored, such as breaker switching, etc.
