- Page 5 The Cochlear ™ Nucleus® 7 Aqua+ is a re-usable sealable cover that, when used with the Cochlear Nucleus 7 Aqua+ Coil, keeps your Cochlear Nucleus 7 Sound Processor (model number: CP1000) dry during use in or around water (e.g. when swimming, surfing, or just having fun splashing around).
- Page 6 The Cochlear Nucleus Mic Lock-Stirrup is a retention option to hold Aqua+ more securely behind your ear. The stirrup connects to the base of Aqua+ and the Mic Lock tube (when cut to size) passes under the ear lobe and connects to the Aqua+ earhook.
- Page 7 Nucleus 7 Aqua+ instructions Before you get wet... Don‘t forget you must be using rechargeable batteries for your sound processor to work inside Aqua+. 1. Carefully unplug your usual coil from the sound processor. Hold the coil cable grip and firmly pull it straight out of the processor.
- Page 8 3. Insert the plug into the base of Aqua+. To make a good seal, push the plug in as far as it will go. 4. Plug the blue Aqua+ coil (with magnet) straight into your sound processor through the hole in Aqua+. Grip the black ring on the coil connector.

- Page 13 Aqua+ coil magnet instructions 1. Insert the Cochlear Magnet into the hole in the blue Aqua+ coil. 2. Turn the magnet clockwise until it stops. 3. Turn the magnet a little more until you feel a click. The tamper-resistant lock marker aligns with the coil cable when locked.
- Page 14 Safety Line instructions WARNING Retention lines longer than the Safety Line (standard length) are not recommended for use by children as they may present a risk of strangulation. 1. Thread the Safety Line loop end through the Aqua+ ring. 2. Create a knot by passing the clip end of the line through the line loop.
- Page 15 Mic Lock-Stirrup instructions Before using Mic Lock-Stirrup for the first time, cut it to the right length to suit your ear. 1. Snap the stirrup into the dimples at the base of Aqua+. 2. Find the right length of tubing to hold Aqua+ in place comfortably behind your ear.

- Page 17 Warnings • If your sound processor becomes warmer than usual, remove it immediately and seek advice from your clinician. Parents/caregivers: if your recipient indicates discomfort, check if their sound processor is warmer than usual. • Small parts (e.g. magnets, Safety Line) may be a choking or strangulation hazard.
- Page 18 • If you experience tightness or pain at the implant site, or develop significant skin irritation, stop using your sound processor and contact your clinician. • If the coil magnet is too strong, pressure sores may develop at the implant site. If this happens, or if you experience any discomfort in this area, contact your clinician.
- Page 19 Cautions • Always use Aqua+ with the blue Aqua+ coil, never with your usual coil. • When connecting the coil cable, always push the plug straight in; do not screw or twist the plug. • Where possible, avoid pressing the processor button with your fingernail as this can damage your Aqua+.
