NOTE: The height adjustment
only comes into effect when the
handle is released by the handle
release pedal È.
Switching on
Plug the appliance into the
mains supply.
Ensure that the Eco Switch ⁄ is
set to the required setting before
switching the cleaner on. Push
the On/Off switch „ to start the
motor.
Controlling suction
power
The suction power can be
varied to suit the surface being
cleaned, by using the Eco
Switch ⁄ C.

Using in upright mode

Place the cleaner in its upright
position.

Set the carpet height
adjustment knob fi to the
desired position.

Release the mains cable by
revolving the quick release cleat
‚ half-a-turn and extend the
cable fully.

Plug the cable into the mains
socket.

Step on the handle release
pedal È to release the handle
to the desired position.

Press the On/Off switch to the
'on' position.
IMPORTANT: To prevent
damage to carpets, never leave
the cleaner switched on in one
place for an extended period.

Never have the brushes set too
low such that the cleaner is hard
to push.

Switch off the appliance and
remove the plug from the mains
supply and wind the cord
around the storage cleats ‚.
MAINTENANCE
DUST CANISTER
Emptying the dust
canister
To obtain the best results from
your cleaner, empty the dust
canister Ó regularly, otherwise
the airflow and cleaning power
will be reduced.
Remove the front cover ‹ by

lifting the cover release lever ¤

Lift-up the dust canister release
Î and pull the canister away
from the main body.

Take the canister to the dustbin.

Turn the lid Ï quarter-of-a-turn

anti-clockwise to unlock, lift off
the lid with pleated filter Ì, put
to one side E.
Lift out the central mesh filter Ô

from the dust canister Ó F.
Brush clean if necessary.
Empty out the dust canister Ó.

Re-fit the central mesh filter.
Shake the pleated filter Ì to

remove all dust.

Re-fit pleated filter with lid into
the dust canister by lining up
the two arrows and turning the
lid quarter-of-a-turn clockwise
to lock.
10 Re-fit dust canister into cleaner
and push to lock into position.
11 Re-fit the front cover.
