In addition to the spectrum view, another representation has been
4.5 Waterfall
introduced in the software, commonly called Waterfall.
The advantage of this view is that the disturbances are shown with different
colours depending on their strength. This helps evaluate level variations
over time and to easily investigate sporadic signals.
HP01-TS implements both a bidimensional Spectrogram plot and a
tridimensional Waterfall graph. The two dimensions are frequency and time
and the third dimension is the level. Level variations can also be
distinguished by differences in color.
In this way, it is possibile to detect and track time-varying signals.
The ranges for Frequency and Level are the same as the Spectrum view.
When entering the Waterfall function a screen similar to the following
appears:

The Waterfall graphs need OpenGL® version 3.0 or grater.
