1. In very rare cases, sometimes the garage door motor drives the chain to far past its travel and force
limits which causes the sensors not to align properly. This then causes false readings and
notifications. If this becomes an ongoing problem, GarageSmart™ recommends putting a second
sensor (with terminals) directly next to the first sensor (with terminals) that was previously installed
and by connecting the sensors in parallel with each other.

Check for any broken or detach wires that connect
to the GSX+ port(s), GSX- port(s) and sensor(s).

Visual inspect the sensor(s) and make sure that
they are aligned properly, then perform the
"Verifying Sensor Alignment" procedure in this
manual (1) .

correct Time Zone and Daylight Savings Time
(DST) selections have been chosen for the location
of the GarageSmart™ device

Verify that there are no obstacles in the way or
blocking your floor sensors.

The force limit of the garage door motor may be set
to high. Refer to your garage door motors
operation manual for proper adjustments.

Log into your online account and verify that the
correct email address is listed. Also verify that the
correct days and time when you want to receive
the email notifications are listed
