The amp uses 10 " D " size Alkaline batteries (not included); or the optional rechargeable AmpliVox NiCad Battery Pack (S-1465) and (S1460) AC adapter -purchase separately (Fig 3). 2. The removable battery door on the back of the amp is designed to stay closed until you need to change the batteries.
