Master Section
5. Bass Control
This control either boosts or cuts the low frequencies. For most sources, a moderate boost at low
volumes will sound good, but as you turn up, it's advisable to set it flat (12 o'clock).
6. Treble Control
This control either boosts or cuts the high frequencies. For most sources, a moderate boost at low
volumes will sound good, but as you turn up, it's recommended to set it flat (12 o'clock).
*Tip: If you want to boost or cut the midrange sound, do the opposite with BOTH the bass and treble
controls. E.g. For more midrange, turn DOWN both the bass and treble controls.
7. Master Control
This is the master volume control for the DW10, it sets the overall output level.
8. Clip LED (Master)
The master clip LED works similarly to the channel clip LEDs mentioned above, but it's activated
by the signal at the tone controls and the master volume. Excessive boost on the tone controls can
contribute to clipping when playing loud so it's generally better to cut the frequencies you don't want
than to boost the ones you want; it helps avoid clipping in the master section.
9. Power
The power LED will illuminate red while the unit powers up and then turn green signifying the
DW10's working properly. If there is a fault in the power amplifier, the LED color will return to red.
Note: If the light turns red or stays red, first try power-cycling the DW10. If this does not clear the
fault you should refer to a qualified service technician.
Rear Panel
Inputs
10. Channel 1-3 Left/Mono and Right Inputs Jacks
Plug balanced or unbalanced ¼-inch sources into these jacks. If the source is mono, plug into the
Left/Mono side; if it's stereo, plug into the Left and Right inputs of a single channel.
11. Channel 3 Stereo Input Jack
Plug a stereo 1/8-inch source such as an MP3 player or cel phone or MP3 into this jack.
*Note: It is not recommended to use the ¼-inch and 1/8-inch inputs on channel 3 simultaneously.
Output
12. Stereo DI Out
Channel 1 is always sent to the DI, Channels 2 and 3 are selectable via the DI Send switches.
These XLR jacks feed a pre-EQ output from channel 1, the signals from Channels 2 and 3 can be
enabled or disabled by way of the DI Send switch on the front panel.
Note: Mono sources plugged into the Left/Mono input will go to both Left and Right outputs and
stereo sources will be sent to the appropriate sides.
