The water softener should be adjusted
according to the water hardness of your
inlet water. A correct setting allows to
achieve the best washing results and the
maximum garments protection.
To set the water softener correctly,
please refer to 'How to set the water
hardness level'.
The first time you turn the
appliance on, the touch
screen proposes different
settings: one on this is water
hardness level.
5.2 How to set the water
hardness level
The appliance allows you to chose
between 7 levels corresponding to 7
different ranges of water hardness.
Depending on the country, the water
hardness is expressed in equivalent
scales: e.g. French degrees (°f), German
degrees (°d), English degrees (°e) and
mmol/l.
If necessary, please contact your local
water authority to check the water
hardness in your area.
Check in the "Water hardness levels"
table which is the proper level.
To set the water hardness level:
1. Press the On/Off button for a few
seconds to activate the appliance.
2. Wait until the programme screen
appears and scroll up and down the
list to find Settings.
3. Tap on
to enter the setting list.
4. Scroll the list up and down to find
Water Hardness.
5. Tap on the Water Hardness bar.
6. Scroll the level list right and left to
chose the proper level.
7. Tap on the Water Hardness bar to
exit and to confirm the chosen level.
8. Scroll up and down the setting list to
find the Water Softener bar and tap
on it to enter.
9. Scroll the bar right and left to chose:
• Wash: the water softener acts
during washing phase only. This
setting satisfies most of the use
condition.
• Wash & Rinse: if the inlet water
is particularly hard (6 and 7
levels), we suggest to set the
water softener also during rinsing
phase to preserve the fabric
softness.
