- Page 6 Always ensure that appropriate footwear is worn whilst riding this bike. Lace up shoes with rubber soles, never ride barefooted or in sandals, and ensure that shoelaces are tied and kept out of the way of the wheels and drive system. If there is front brake,apply the rear brake first, and then apply the front brake.

Inspection of Bearings Maintenance: Frequently check the bearings of the bicycle. Have a bicycle service shop lubricate the bearings once a year or any time they do not pass the following tests. Head Tube Bearings: The fork should turn freely and smoothly at all times.
