A USB printer connected to the FRITZ!Box can be configured as a net-
work printer in Mac OS X version 10.5 or higher:

Press the keyboard shortcut Windows key + i.
Click on "Devices" and select "Devices and Printers" in the menu.
Click on "Add a printer or scanner".
The "Searching for printers and scanners" search is started.
Click on "The printer that I want isn't listed"."
Enable the option "Add a printer using TCP/IP address or
hostname" and click on "Next".
Enter the address

Click on "Next".
If the "Printer Sharing" window appears, select "Do not share
this printer" and click on "Next".
Click on "Finish"
In the dock, click on "System preferences".
Click on "Print & Fax".
Click on "+".
Click on "IP Printer".
In the "Protocol:" list, select the entry "HP Jet Direct – Socket".
Enter the address "fritz.box" in the "Address" field.
