Cleaning the air filter
Caution:
Never operate the blower without an air filter, as dust and dirt can enter the motor otherwise
and damage it. The air filter needs to be kept clean. If it is damaged, replace it with a new filter.
1.
Push the button (A) to hold the air filter lid, remove the lid (B) and the filter from the air closet
(fig. 20).
2. Wash the filter with soapy water. Do not use petrol!
3. Let the filter air-dry.
4. Re-mount the air filter and re-place the air filter cover on.
Note: Replace the filter if it is frayed, torn, damaged, or not be cleaned any longer.
Cleaning the fuel filter
Caution:
Remove the fuel from the device and store it in an approved container before starting the
process. Slowly open the tank lid to release the pressure which might have built up in the fuel tank.
Note:
Keep the ventilation (A) of the tank lid free from foreign bodies (fig. 21).
1.
Remove the tank lid of the fuel tank (B) to remove the fuel filter (C) from the tank. Use a hooked
piece of wire to pull the filter (C) from the tank (fig. 22).
2. Pull the fuel filter (C) off with a turning motion (fig. 23).
3. Replace the fuel filter.
Note: Never operate the leaf blower without a fuel filter. Internal motor damages might result.
