Note: If the motor does not start after several tries, read the section "troubleshooting."
Note: Always pull the starter rope straight ahead. If one pulls the starter lopsided, the rope rubs against
the eyelet. This will lead to the rope fraying sooner and thus wear. Always hold the starter handle when
the rope is pulling back. Never let the rope rebound without control. This can lead to the rope getting
caught or fraying and damaging the starter mounting.
Important idle-speed information
In some cases, it might be necessary to alter the idle speed slightly, due to operating conditions
(height, temperature, etc.). Should the device not run with idle speed after the warming phase and after
starting the device twice, carry out the following steps to adjust the idle speed:
1.
Find the idle speed adjustment screw (G) on the carburettor (fig. 15).
2. Use a cross-head screwdriver to turn the screw ¼–½ clockwise (right hand direction). The de-
vice should now be properly in the idle speed.
Stopping the motor
Emergency stop
If it is necessary to stop the device immediately, switch the on/off switch into stop position.
