Customizing Functions and Onscreen Displays

Customize the camcorder to match your shooting style and needs. Use the [J Other Functions]

Customizing Functions

The following table describes which functions can be customized using

Determines the speed of the transition when the gain is changed.
Creates a softer transition when the white balance is changed.
Controls the camcorder's response when you change the automatic exposure setting.
Sets a maximum aperture value (F8.0) to be used for shooting.
Changes the direction of the adjustment when turning the manual ring while it is set to IRIS(ND).
Changes the direction of the adjustment when turning the manual ring while it is set to FOCUS.
Changes the direction of the adjustment when turning the manual ring while it is set to ZOOM.
Selects the sensitivity of the response when operating the manual ring while it is set to FOCUS.
Selects the sensitivity of the response when operating the manual ring while it is set to ZOOM.
Automatically switches the screen to B&W while the focus assist functions (peaking and magnification) are
activated. You can have the screen switch to B&W when only the peaking is activated, when only the
magnification is activated or when both are activated. Focus assist functions will not appear on an external
monitor.
Selects the units of distance (meters or feet) displayed when the camcorder shows the distance to the
subject in manual focus mode.
Selects the display of the zoom indicator between a graphic bar and a numeric display (0 to 99).
Selects the function of the AE SHIFT dial on the optional ZR-2000 Zoom Remote Controller between adjusting
either the exposure compensation or the aperture value.
Inverts the recorded image horizontally, vertically or horizontally and vertically.
When this function is set to [On], all of the onscreen displays will be recorded to the clip exactly as they
appear on the screen.
