Enabling HDD Sleeping mode
Enabling HDD sleeping mode will allow the HDD enter low power cost work mode when no
recording work is detected.
To enable HDD sleeping mode:
1. Enter the HDD menu by going to Menu > System Configuration > HDD.
2. Select the Record Information tab, as shown in Figure 195.
3. Check the Enable HDD Sleeping checkbox.
4. Click the Apply button.
5. Click
to exit.
Enabling eSATA Auto Archive
Enabling eSATA Auto Archive will allow DVR automatically backup record files on external
eSATA devices according to a preset schedule.
To enable eSATA Auto Archive:
1. Enter the HDD menu by going to Menu > System Configuration > HDD.
2. Select the Record Information tab, as shown in Figure 195.
3. Click on Setting button, as shown below.
4. Check the Enable Archive checkbox.
5. Set the Archive Time.
6. Check the channels needed to be backup.
7. Click Apply button.
8. Click
to exit.
Managing eSATA
When there is an external eSATA device connected to DVR, you can configure eSATA for the
use of Record/Capture or Export. To manage eSATA:
