8. Backlight button
Press and hold this button for about 2 s to turn on the
backlight, and then press and hold it again
for about 2 s to turn off the backlight.
9. Function/position switch
This switch is used for selecting desired function or
range, and switching on
or off meter power.
10. "HOLD" button
It is used for entering or deactivating the data hold
mode.
11. Insulated gate
It is used to form a protective distance at the jaw, so as
to reduce the risk of fingers touching the head
or the measured conductor. When the meter is held by
hand, the fingers shall not go beyond the insulated gate.
