  • Page 11: Overview

OVERVIEW Flywheel Training Flywheel training uses the forces generated from a concentric muscle action to impart rotation into a flywheel. This results in greater inertial forces that must be decelerated by the user creating an eccentric overload. versapulley.com...
  • Page 12 VersaPulley accomplishes this in all 3 planes of motion using a rotating conical flywheel for resistance. You pull against the flywheel followed by the flywheel pulling back against you.
  • Page 13 Why the Cone? VersaPulley uses a conical flywheel rather than a disc flywheel. The cone shape causes a change in the geometry of the flywheel as it spins to match the pull force to the user’s ability. Unlike a disc flywheel, as a movement is performed during...
  • Page 14: Adjustments

ADJUSTMENTS There are four types of adjustments that can be made on the Wall Mounted VersaPulley: 1. Height – Adjusting vertical distance from ground. 2. Range of Motion – Adjusting rope length. 3. Speed Range – Adjusting rope up or down the cone.

  • Page 17: Adjusting Speed Range

Speed Range 1 is easier to turn than the smaller gear of Speed Range 3. At the same speed of movement, the inertia (force) on Speed Range setting 1 will be lower than if the Speed Range was set to 3. versapulley.com...

Flywheel, then a weight must be added to position 4 on the right side of the Flywheel. CAUTION: Ensure weights are added or removed in opposing pairs. To add the weight, screw weight clockwise into the numbered based until hand tight. versapulley.com...
  • Page 19 Removing weights creates faster speeds and lower forces. In general, very fast sport functional training uses a minimum of weights. Regardless of the Speed and Load Range settings, pulling as fast as possible will create the maximal force that you are capable of at that speed. versapulley.com...

  • Page 21 Decelerate the flywheel after your last repetition and wait for the flywheel to stop moving. Notice the difference in how the movement feels between a Speed Range of 1 and a Speed Range of 3. versapulley.com...
  • Page 22 The inertia at this setting creates a large eccentric overload For most applications you will find the Speed Range setting of 1 provides the broadest versatility. Changes in the Load Range can be made to increase or decrease inertia. View more VersaPulley exercises: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLUIDhGXY7Lcn1IaHc kUdC_aAMZOHXdCvt versapulley.com...
