the Alternator Belt
Replacing the Alternator Belt
Service Interval: Every 50 hours—Check the
alternator belt.
1.
Park the machine on a level surface, disengage
the blade-control switch, and engage the parking
brake.
2.
Shut off the engine, remove the key, and wait
for all moving parts to stop before leaving the
operating position.
3.
Remove the 4 bolts holding the oil cooler shield
to the rear frame
4.
Remove the 3 bolts holding the engine straps to
the side of the machine

Remove the 4 bolts holding the oil cooler and
position the oil cooler to the side
6.
Remove the 2 bolts holding the fan and fan plate
to the machine

Loosen the bottom bolt and remove the upper
bolt holding the alternator and cover
8.
Rotate the alternator cover to the side and
remove the belt from the pulleys and alternator.
9.
Install a new belt around the pulleys and the
alternator
10.
Install the fan and fan plate to the machine with
the 2 bolts previously removed
11.
Install the oil cooler with the 4 bolts previously
removed
