Measurements on the CRI Piezo are only permitted
with special adapter cables (optional accessories).

The measuring probes included in the test prod set
(1 687 010 153) can only be used for measurements
below 30 volt.
General procedure for measurements on the vehicle:
1. Switch off the ignition.
2. Connect the FSA 740 Edition with battery (B–) or
motor mass via connecting cable B–.
3. Connect required measuring lines to the vehicle.

Do not hold the measuring lines with your hand dur-
ing measurement.
4. Switch on ignition.
5. Perform measurement.
6. Switch off the ignition after measuring.
7. Disconnect measuring lines on the vehicle.
8. Disconnect connecting cable B–.

With DSA, you can:

Start Bosch applications (automatically as well).
R
Make interface settings.
R
Select DSA and Bosch application language.
R
Install software.
R
Update customer and vehicle data.
R
Terminate Bosch applications.

If several applications are open, the speed of the
FSA system software may be impaired.
5.5 FSA system software language con-
figuration
In the "Settings" menu, you can also select the lan-
guage with which you want to work in FSA 740 Edition.
This language will then be used for the other Bosch ap-
plications as well.
