Maintenance, cleaning and servicing

 The device is maintenance-free.

Have the unit repaired only by an authorized technician. Replace
damaged components only with original spare parts or parts that
are identical to the original in both quality and function.

Cleaning

 Keep the device clean to ensure safe and reliable operation.
 Carefully remove contamination with a soft, damp cloth. Do not
use a cleaning agent or solvent.

An arithmetic operation is not possi-
ble. For example, you are attempting
to add values that have different units
of measurement.
Allow the Distance Meter to cool
down. Operate the Distance Meter
only within the permissible tempera-
ture range.
Take the Distance Meter to an envi-
ronment that has a higher tempera-
ture and allow it to warm up. Operate
the Distance Meter only within the
permissible temperature range.
Avoid surfaces that do not reflect well
or not at all. Look for a measuring
point with stronger reflection.
Avoid highly reflective or shiny surfac-
es. Look for a measuring point with
less re-flection.
Repeat the measurement. Keep in
mind that legs of a triangle cannot be
greater than its hypotenuse.
Switch the Distance Meter off and
back on.

ed deactivation and activation, please
