Feature Overview Ground Connection There is a grounding stud on the back of the unit, which acts as a protective earth terminal (where required). You can also use it as an ESD ground terminal when servicing the unit. Grounding stud Grounding Method The preferred grounding method, described here, is to connect a ground wire between the NVR unit and an earth ground source.
Feature Overview Hard Drives You can install up to two hard drives inside the unit. Hard Drives (stack of 2) For the hard drives: position 1 is at the top, position 2 is at the bottom. Hard Drive Details The 8716P NVR uses Serial ATA (SATA) hard drive technology. It uses hard drive SMART monitoring for hard drive health status and early detection of possible faults.
