Shutting Down the Heating System

If you do not need to use your heating system temporarily, i.e. during a summer holiday, switch all heating circuits of the
Vitocontrol-S, WB2B to "Standby mode" 9 (see page 17).
If you want to shut down only one boiler of your heating system, switch the relevant Vitotronic 100 to "Standby mode" 9
(see page 17).
Note:
The circulation pumps are briefly started every 24 hours to prevent them from seizing up.
Switch your heating system OFF if you do not need to use it.
We recommend you contact your local heating contractor before and after you shut down your heating system for longer
periods.
Where necessary, your contractor can take certain steps, eg. protecting the system against frost.
Vitocontrol-S, WB2B
1. Switch ON / OFF switch "8" (see
page 11 and 13) OFF on all control
units.
The green indicator (ON indicator)
extinguishes on every control unit.
2. Close the gas shut-off valve.
3. Switch the main ON / OFF switch on
the Vitocontrol-S to OFF.
Note:
Frost protection is no longer enabled.
All control unit settings are retained.
